Entrepreneur Income Supplement (EIS) provides financial assistance for a fixed period to eligible individuals with disabilities, while they are developing their new business.

The responsibility of the Lunenburg/Queens Action Council for People with Disabilities includes evaluating business proposals and assessing client suitability for self-employment. LQACPWD also provides participants with a referral to partnering agencies who provide assistance in developing and implementing their business plans, offering technical and other advice, and directing clients to other supports as needed or available.

Entrepreneur Income Supplement allows participants to concentrate on making their business succeed. LQACPWD negotiates the length of financial support with participants up to a maximum of 52 weeks.
